Controller Upgrade V1 to V2

Parts included in the kit.

Front Panel V2 controller

Base PCB V2 controller V2.3

CPU Firmware V2.06

Front panel connection cable plus new head pcb connector housing we need to use now.

Head PCB upgrade step

Disconnect headPCB main connector.

Before upgrading connector housing take a photo of your connector, the cable colors may vary and you need to assemble in right order not in right cable color again.

My photos are only examples of an machine upgraded by me.

Upgrade head PCB connector housing

We need to upgrade head PCB connector

Remove cables A and B and remember the position for head 1 / 2.

Remove the light barrier limit switches C and D. Install new ones delivered in your kit. Upgrade cable connections and install again. You can test later using the LED for each limit switch installed on head PCB.

Exchange main controller PCB

We need to disconnect all cables from old main controller PCB. Put a sticker on each cable and write connector number on it. You can download V1 controller manual to compare positions to connector name.

Your machine should look like this if V1 controller installed. The machine shown is a VP2800HP machine using servo controllers.

Change Stepper motor directions

We need to exchange the wiring order for stepper motor connections on stepper motor driver connector.

We need to swap the cable pairs of all stepper motor connectors inside machine.
